Thorough and Comprehensive
marketing and advertising efforts go into each of our sales including:
Newspaper advertising, website advertising, professionally printed
directional signs, E-mail announcements, press releases, fliers, etc.
We have a large
following of existing customers, our excellent reputation earns more
money for you! We distribute numbers to customers prior to each of our
sales and limit the amount of customers in the home at any given time.
We provide display tables,
lockable cases for valuables, additional lighting and all other needed
items in order to display and merchandise your items. We also take
great care in protecting your home during the sale.
Our Goal is to Ease your Burden!
We present you with a check and a
full accounting of the items sold within 7-10 business days from the
end of sale.
· We can coordinate
charitable pickups or professional haulers for any remaining items
after the sale. Perfect for those who want a home empty and ready for
a closing!
· We conduct sales for out of state clients frequently- we can work with your attorney or executor of the Estate.
STEPS
- We interview the prospective
client and tour the household that needs to be downsized. At this
meeting, we evaluate the estate to see if it is doable for an estate
sale or other form of sale. If so, we give a proposal for the
percentage of sales, costs of advertising and labor. Negotiations.
Dates are set. Estimates given for the sale totals.
- When both parties agree, we get
keys and alarm codes.
- Our crew then comes in to
clean, organize and display homes.
- Website advertising,
advertising in newspapers done, emails sent three days to a week in
advance.
- Photographs are taken and put
on the Great Expectations Estate Sales website.
- The estate sale days go from 2
to 4 days usually Friday, Saturday and Sundays.
- In the following days, we do
donation lists, arrange for charity pick-ups and leave the house
empty and clean.
- Checks and sale reconciliation’s come within 7-10 days of sales.
